Dipl.-Soz. Franz Fregin is a doctoral student and holds a scholarship funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) (2024-28). The dissertation projekt is based at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and is beeing carried out at HSZG. Before, he was a research assistant at the professorship for methods of empirical social research. He studied sociology, philosophy and theology at Technische Universität Dresden. While studying, he was employed at the universities CATI-Lab. In 2020, he was a researcher in a study at Evangelische Hochschule Dresden, where he conducted qualitative interviews in several kindergartens in Saxony (Germany). Since 2022 he was involved in the research projects RegIA (2022-23) and DetektiV (2023-24) under, lead by Prof. Knut Petzold. His research interests are mainly focused on mixed methods, qualitative research and sociological theory.
