The project examines the individual, institutional and regional factors that influence the whereabouts of international students in Germany after graduation. To this end, existing data sets from the German Center for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will be analyzed. In addition, individual considerations about remaining in Germany are examined using qualitative methods. For this purpose, group discussions with international students in the final phase of their studies will be conducted and evaluated.
