Keynote speech "Designing for people" by Knut Polkehn

Sunday I 12:15 - 13:45 I GI Lecture Hall 1.01

The lecture "Fit for UX - designing digital products and services for people" is based on the seven core logics of human-centered design described by Knut Polkehn, some of which have already been published on LinkedIn:

  1. Designing for people is a business driver!
  2. The blueprint: Fields of action for human-centered activities
  3. Understanding comes before demand!
  4. Designing behavior: Tasks, interaction, user interfaces!
  5. Digitalization means collaboration!
  6. Continuously working on the future of user work!
  7. Follow these core logics in different ways - but always!

Along these seven principles, examples and anecdotes from Knut Polkehn's practical work as a consultant and coach in various companies and organizations will be shown. The aim is to show the participants docking points for effective action in their own future or current role and thus enable individual added value for the participants.

The keynote speech will be followed by a quarter-hour Q&A session.

Critical reflection on the formal recognition of the Diploma in Communication Psychology (FH)

Sunday I Slot 1 I 10:00 - 11:30 I G I/ 1.19

My lecture serves as a critical reflection on the formal recognition of the Dipl. Kommunikationspsychologen (FH) in psychological counseling contexts. I completed my studies in 2006 and have now been working as a qualified communication psychologist for almost 20 years. In the meantime, I also studied a Master's degree in psychology with a focus on health and sports psychology, which I successfully completed in 2023. Over the past few years, I have worked for various organizations and different groups of people. There were often formal hurdles and after examinations, funding bodies did not recognize this degree or only recognized it at Bachelor's level. When I started my studies in 2002, I was advertised as working in psychological fields. In addition, counseling psychology was a focus of this course. In my presentation, I would like to shed light on my experiences, reflect on them and highlight the insights I have gained and my personal developments. Afterwards, I would like to invite you to a discussion.
